badgermind | A contemplative weekend

A contemplative weekend, in more ways than one. Mrs Badger was away, and several foxes traversed the wall at the rear of our small back garden. I read Stanislav Grof and listened to the tale of Cerridwen's cauldron. On Sunday afternoon I went through a list of phone numbers extracted from my mother's papers when she died in September. Then I rang distant relatives and friends to tell them she had died. I wish I had kept in touch with some of them more often, and I particularly regret not making the effort to visit my cousin K near Skegness before he died. Followed by phone calls and emails to check the addresses of those to whom I would like to send a card this Yule but have more or less lost touch with because of family issues and moving house.
